Jesus dismisses shame and makes us bold to proclaim our new life. The woman at the well could not have been further from God according to the rules of Jewish life. Her life was defined by her shame. But Jesus, knowing her perfectly, still welcomes her to new life – worshiping the Father in Spirit and Truth.
