Scripture Readings: Acts 2:1-11; Psalm 104:24-35; 1 Cor. 12:1-13; John 14:8-17
When we look at the “for, so that, and in order to” phrases in the New Testament passages about the work of the Holy Spirit, a pattern emerges – The work of the Holy Spirit is God’s plan for the building of His Kingdom. We need Him to do His work, and we can’t pursue the Spirit without pursuing the building of the Church. In this sermon, we look at the ways that the Holy Spirit builds up the church – Conversion, Communion, and Conviction – so that we as believers might also strive to build up the Church in the same ways.
